Each bloom in my paintings is a visual representation of the happiness and beauty that surrounds us in nature.

I am constantly inspired by the vibrant colors, intricate shapes, and delicate textures of flowers.

By using bold brushstrokes, expressive gestures, and a dynamic color palette, I aim to convey the essence and energy of each flower in a way that resonates with the viewer on an emotional level.

Whether it's a lush peony, a whimsical daisy, or a vibrant sunflower, every flower in my compositions is a celebration of life, love, and the simple joys that we often overlook in our busy lives.

I am an abstract expressionist artist. My use of vibrant colors and bold layered marks are a unique pairing of realism and expressionism. My paintings contrast the initial impact of distinct colors and line work, with subtle marks and patinas that give depth to each piece.

My primary medium is acrylic paint. I use graphite, ink, and charcoal to add variety and contrast to my mark making, in order to add depth and energy to each painting. My painting tools include brushes, trowels, power sanders, scrapers, nails, hammer, my fingers, and towels…anything I can find to create a surface finish that adds a sense of story, history, and mystery to the work.

I studied art at the University of Utah, and paint from my home studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. My work has been exhibited throughout the West and can be found in private collections throughout the United States and Canada.
